ISM Code expert witness

Jon Gray of Scan Maritime has been providing ISM Code expert witness services to lawyers and insurers for over 10 years. Clients have benefited from his extensive involvement with the ISM Code since its inception. 

Jon was at the forefront of operations within Lloyd’s Register as the Code was being drafted through to when the shipping industry met its requirement as the Code became mandatory. This experience gained from working in LR has since been supplemented by a number of years working as a practicing certification auditor and consultant to all types of shipping companies and ships.

Jon also has the great practical advantage of acting as a Designated Person and hence has experience of the various facets of management systems and their operation.
